300 COPIES. WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?
So here we are again, putting out records that probably make absolutely no financial sense. At least we managed to get it back from the pressing plant just in time, or to be correct, exactly ONE DAY before their tour started at the Wurlitzer Ballroom in Madrid, Spain!
Meanwhile the tour is over, the dust has settled and BROWER is going to new endeavours, an full ORSTRALIAN TOUR! But back to the start…
BROWER‘s first LP „Buzzsaws“ is getting the Bachelor Records treatment, with a strictly limited run of 300 copies! If you’ve never heard BROWER before, don’t worry. You’re not alone. That’s one of the great things about underground music: there are approximately 10,000 bands you’ve never heard of, and at least 9,500 of them are better than whatever is currently sitting at Number One.
BROWER play the kind of rough, catchy, no-frills American rock’n’roll – with A LOT OF glammy moments – that makes you wonder why anyone ever bothered inventing arena rock. Garage punk, hooks, attitude and enough noise to make your neighbors reconsider their life choices.
This isn’t music for people who need to know what sub-genre something belongs to before they can enjoy it. It’s for people who hear a good riff, turn up the volume and worry about the consequences later.
And there’s a good reason why Bachelor Records ended up putting this one out. We’ve had a long-standing friendship with DIG Recordings, BROWER’s label from Virginia / Washington, and we’ve been trading records, gossip, favors and general underground nonsense with the DIG folks for years. Hey, we did all THE AR-KAICS vinyl releases this side of the big pond! That’s how this stuff is supposed to work.
So when BROWER announced they were heading to Europe, putting their first LP back into circulation seemed like a pretty obvious idea. About 100 copies of the pressing are still available, so its time for you to act cool and hit the buy button – or go to your favourite record store and demand a copy!
shop.bachelorrecords.com should be able to handle your craving for good catchy glam-punk!
SCUM STATS: 300 copies, insert, black vinyl.
